Just to show how much today sucked, these things happened:

• I managed to nab the last slice of Victoria Sponge in Curiositea
• My iPhone 3GS arrived
• and I had homemade bread for lunch

And it was still a shit day.

I’ll definitely be trying this methinks.

The following Italian sourdough starter, or biga, uses the wild yeast naturally present in grapes. The fruit also provides the sugar on which the yeast feeds.

And now I have my big pot I’ll also be trying some no-knead bread over the weekend.
