Bicorn … is a mythological creature with two horns that has the reputation of devouring kind-hearted and devoted husbands, and is thus plump and well fed. His counterpart is the Chichevache, which devours only obedient wives and is therefore thin and starving.

My favourite article is about recycling urine (you can take the boy out of surf club…) – while the taboo about drinking something that was pee is kind of understandable if we can purify it to the point where it’s as good (or better than) our current sources of drinking water then it just seems a bit silly really (Windhoek, Namibia is currently the only place recycling from toilet to tap).
Maybe wastewater just needs to be rebranded – I reckon if we can think of a catchy enough name we’ll be strutting around in stillsuits before we know it.

Kottke has a post about ‘What Fast Looks Like’ – a collection of videos of people driving/skating/riding/flying very very fast. Without a doubt the coolest (where by coolest I mean shit scariest) has to be the basejump guys in wingsuits gliding feet away from the ground at ridiculous speeds.
And while I wish I had the balls to do something like that as te rush must be amazing this headcam vid of a guy surviving a parachute jump when both his chutes fail makes me fairly scared of jumping from great heights.
