This seemed a semi-logical follow-on post:

I know there’s been a lot of backlash about it looking like a computer game or cartoon but I’m not sure I mind – Phantom Menace sucked because it took an existing universe and CGIed it with disastrous consequences but this isn’t ruining any cherished childhood memories and there’d be no other way to achieve the desired spectacle other than CGI really (that said, I would love someone to make a stop-motion sci-fi monster flick nowadays).

Kick-Ass

The official teaser for Kick-Ass has been out for a couple of weeks though I’ve only just got round to watching it. I’m still excited about it but this trailer looks nowhere near as cool as the mobile-filmed trailer from Comic-Con.

Clash of the Titans

I hope it’s awesome. I have fond memories of the original, though it’s hard to believe it came out the year after Empire (1981) – the similarities to 1963’s Jason and the Argonauts probably don’t help.

Blade

Christina has recently joined the ranks of the Robsessed, in an effort to make her watch some proper vampire films I was having a browse of tinternet when I came across this poster for Blade that I used to have years ago:

And I can’t believe that it’s only now I’ve realised how tiny his sword is in this poster – it can’t even be two feet long!

Bad photoshop.
