I could not be more excited for this. I’ve already watched the trailer five times this morning.
The BBC commissioned research from ComRes about what the public believes 15 different professions should pay.
Those people surveyed were not told what the real pay levels were in those professions.
Note, it’s what these professions *should* pay not what people think they do pay.
According to the survey the public think that Premiership Footballers should be the highest earners in the country (though they should only earn about £1000 a day rather than the four and half they currently earn on average).
The BBC have published their “100 Things We Didn’t Know Last Year”.

If I was going to pick an early 80s sci-fi film to inspire me to ride a bike I would at least have said Tron.
I remember a few weeks ago the ‘How many of these books have you read?’ note was doing the rounds on Facebook (with lots of, “OMG, you have to read such-and-such…”). I think the best response to the study that appears to have kickstarted this particular round has to be Charlie Brooker’s:
Apparently people lie about having read all these books because they think it’ll make them appear sexier. Which begs the question: who the hell earnestly believes that claiming to have read the Bible from beginning to end is going to get them laid?
