The new Star Trek trailer’s up – I think of this Summer’s films this is probably looking hottest. The Wolverine trailer is looking a little disappointing, so it’s between this and Terminator: Salvation for me.

Dr. Herbert Manhattan
What if Woody Allen had directed Watchmen?
Allen sets his romantic comedy on the Upper West Side, where wealthy dermatologist Dr. Herbert Manhattan (Allen) suffers a freak accident with his dermabrasion machine. How will his blue skin and omnipotence affect his relationship with beautiful but scatterbrained silk importer Laurie Juspeczyk (Scarlett Johansson)?
Slate have done quite a few Watchmen articles over the past few days, this is definitely my favourite though – reimagining Watchmen as directed by Woody Allen, Judd Apatow, Quentin Tarantino, Tyler Perry, Sofia Coppola and Pedro Almodóvar.
Revenge of the Fallen
10 Helpful suggestions for killing John Connor.
My personal favourites have to be:
3) Use the Time Machine to Cheat
…John will say “Well, Terminator, I’ll just make sure my future self sends someone back in time to set up a bucket to drop on your head!” Then the Terminator has a bucket dropped on it’s head with the words “Wild Stallyns Rule” written on it, and oh, isn’t Skynet embarrassed! Excellent!
And of course:
2) Have the Terminators Step in Front of his Lighting
John Connor hates that shit.
Oo-De-Lally
9 is an upcoming film by Shane Acker produced by Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov – the trailer came out for this film on Christmas Day but I’ve not really heard anything since:
The original short (below) won quite a few awards, and you can see why.
I really like the isolated feel the short has so I hope I still like the feature length adaptation – either way the character design is just awesome.
