Moving House + No Internet at Home + Lots of Work = No Blogging.

I’ll be honest – I was a little worried that I might not make it around (turns out using Wii Fit twice in four weeks doesn’t really constitute training) but I got round and in a none too shabby time!
I crossed the line at 1:06:51 so when the official times are published I’ll hopefully be sub 1:06 which I’m quite chuffed with (I was thinking I’d be closer to 1:15).
5-7 were something of a killer but I ran from 8 without stopping and my crossing the line song was Keine Melodien (MJ Lan Mix Extended Version).

Well the proper snow finally hit the Midlands which meant that school was cancelled! Somewhat miraculously my snowboard trousers still fit me so i finished off my Banoffee Pie for breakfast, got wrapped up and went for a wander around Kenilworth in the snow:

All these things that I’ve done
I was thinking about things I’ve done that I generally forget I’ve done most of the time and though I’ve never really read any of those ‘100 Things to do before you Die’ type lists I imagine these are the sort of things that appear on them:
- Flown a helicopter
- Hugged a koala
- Eaten Sashimi
- Snorkelled the Great Barrier Reef
- Been to the White House
- Seen the Shrine of the Three Kings
- Written a String Quartet
- Stood on top of the World Trade Center
- Been to a Pogues gig
- Seen a whale in the wild
- Flown over the Grand Canyon
- Been to Uluru
- Driven a tank
- Stood on Table Mountain
- Sailed a yacht
- Been to Niagara Falls
- Taught myself to play guitar
- Had a holiday on a barge
- Seen Nelson Mandela’s cell on Robben Island
Things I wish were on my list:
- Being a published author
- Being able to do a backflip
- Seeing the Northern Lights
- Being fluent in Japanese
- Seeing a wild tiger
- Doing a skydive
Thing I doubt will ever be on my list:
- Leaving my wallet in El Segundo
- Watching C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate
- Being able to moonwalk

Twice in as many days
My capricious nature has got the better of me and I’ve gone down a whole new route on the skin front, though I still can’t decide if I’m happy with it or not. The very first layout I mocked up months ago went a little something like this:
Then after I decided i wanted to go a bit more pixel happy we were looking at something a little more like:
And now we have what we have which is fairly basic but at is at least usable (and includes a little bit of my favourite scribble). I get the feeling I’ll play with the appearance a lot and never quite get something I’m happy with!
